CAIRO – 22 August 2017: Dean of medicine faculty at Zagazig University, Dr. Atef al-Bahrawy condemned the Facebook posts published by Professor of Psychiatry Maher al-Maghraby a month ago. The university decided on Sunday to take all needed legal procedures against Maghraby to investigate the alleged posts on his Facebook page that insult Islam.
“I heard about these posts, and decided to investigate with the professor just after receiving the amendment from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.” said Dr.Khaled Abdelbary, Head of Zagazig University.

Screenshot for posts by a page named “Maher Mostafa al-Maghraby” about Islam, prophet Muhammed and his wives and mother of Jesus where shared before the page to be closed.
Maghraby denied all these posts, and said during a phone interview on Monday with a TV Program on Al Hadath Al Youm channel, that his page was hacked long ago, and that he did not know how to take any action as he is 66 years old and does not know much about technology and Facebook, so he just left it. Then he was surprised by the University’s decision to investigate with him.
