CAIRO - 14 Aug 2017: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned on Monday the suicide attack that occurred earlier in a restaurant in Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou which left 18 dead and several others injured.

Secretary General Yousef Bin Ahmed Al Othaimeen stressed the need for enhancing international contribution to support efforts of Burkina Faso and other countries on the coastal area against terrorism.

Al Othaimeen pointed out that such cowardly attacks targeting civilians contradict with human values.

He reiterated the OIC's firm stance against all forms of violence and terrorism asserting its solidarity with the Burkina Faso's government against terrorism.

The secretary general offered his condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Burkina Faso and wished speedy recovery for the wounded.
