CAIRO – 11 August 2017: King Abdullah II of Jordan extended his condolences to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi over Alexandria’s train collision that took place earlier Friday, leaving dozens injured and killed.

President Sisi also sought an immediate inquiry into the deadly accident on Friday and further pledged to bring whoever was responsible to justice.

Trains destined from Cairo and Port Said collided at the station in the Khorshid district of Alexandria on Friday. The death toll is now up to 37, with another 126 injured.
