MARSA MATROUH, Egypt – 7 August2017: Matrouh security agencies have aborted an attempt by 23 persons including four Africans to travel for Libya illegally across Salloum desert.

Assistant interior minister for Matrouh security major general Hisham Nasr had been notified that 19 persons from various Egyptian governorates and four Africans from Eritrea and Sudan were planning to travel to Libya illegally as security agencies took necessary measures to abort their attempt.

Security agencies took all legal measures to refer the would-be travelers to the prosecution
