King Salman greets Egyptian martyrs’ families in Saudi for Hajj

CAIRO – 31 July 2017: President of the Arab Parliament, Meshal Bin Fahim Al-Salami, expressed his appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, for welcoming 1000 people from families of martyred members of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Police for pilgrimage.

Al-Salami said that this act goes to show King Salman’s support for Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and his government’s efforts in combating terrorism. He added that it is also a sign of appreciation to the families who have lost someone who sacrificed their life to defend their country against terrorists, who aim to destabilize the unity of the Egyptian people and threaten Egypt’s security.

The Arab Parliament stressed its support for Arab countries battling terrorism, Al-Salami stressed. He also thanked Saudi Arabia for its significant role in combating terrorism and supporting other Arab countries that are hit with these cowardly attacks and its founding of the Islamic Military Alliance, which has already been joined by 41 Arab and Muslim countries.
