CAIRO – 30 July 2017: Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir denounced claims that the Kingdom bans Qatar pilgrims during a joint press conference Sunday in Manama.

“The Kingdom’s history is clear in easing pilgrimage procedures and it does not accept politicizing pilgrimage, and welcomes any citizen from any country,” Al-Jubeir added.

When asked about Iranian relations with Qatar, Al-Jubeir said any country cooperates with Tehran “causes damage to itself.”

The foreign ministers of the four Arab states, Egypt, UAE, KSA and Bahrain, held a meeting Sunday in Manama to discuss the updates of their rift with Qatar.

The Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa read a joint statement by the four Arab states ensuring they maintain urging Qatar to meet the six principles on combating extremism and terrorism that were agreed up on in Cairo two weeks ago.

The four Arab foreign ministers announced they are ready for dialogue with Qatar in case the latter meets the 13 demands rose in June, according to the joint statement.
They further stressed that their demands are in accordance with international regulations, and the 2013 and 2014 Riyadh agreements.
