CAIRO - 28 July 2017: Minister of Manpower Mohamed Saafan discussed with Deputy Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Laura Thompson the future of bilateral cooperation and means of limiting illegal immigration.

The meeting also touched on means of augmenting capabilities of the Egyptian youth and improving the work environment via a set of activities, including vocational training, language learning and briefing the youth on the cultures of foreign societies.

Meanwhile, Saafan stressed the importance of finalizing projects agreed upon as soon as possible, noting that the current stage requires securing appropriate job opportunities for the Egyptian youth and providing them with training sessions to meet the needs of the European labor market.

The two sides also agreed on selecting two centers in Alexandria and Beheira to give training sessions as of January 2018.
