North Sinai residents organize celebration coinciding with launching ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ initiative

CAIRO – 20 March 2023: North Sinai residents organized on Monday a celebration, coinciding with the launching  of ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ initiative, inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, on Friday.

The ‘shoulder-to-shoulder’ initiative aims to distributing up to 6 million packages of foods in 10 different governorates all over the country, ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

During a celebration at Cairo international stadium, Sisi extend his appreciation and greetings to the people of Egypt and congratulate both of the Arab and Islamic nations on the holy month of Ramadan.

“Today, we celebrate a new victory for 'unity' and 'societal solidarity', in which the Egyptians have always been an example and a role model” Sisi said in speech.

He described the celebration as a 'wonderful humanitarian scene'.

“We see before our eyes a 'wonderful humanitarian scene', and I extend my thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to this success” Sisi added.

He also praised the role of the National Alliance for Civil Work that was launched in March 2022.

Sisi said: “No one can deny the great efforts' which Egypt's National Alliance for Civil Work have done.”

He also noted that during the past years, Egypt has faced many troubles and difficulties, however “we were able to overcome them and emerged stronger and even more solid”

Sisi renewed his promises and his pledge to the Egyptian people to move forward towards more work and construction.

“I also would like to thank the Egyptian people for their efforts and sacrifices, and for proving to the world many times their ability to overcome challenges.”

He added: “I was honored to assume the responsibility of the country 9 years ago, and since then we were only seek peace, security, and stability, as we always will follow the path of construction and development”
