Egypt’s President Sisi greets Suriname on independence day

CAIRO – 25 November 2022: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi sent greeting cables on Friday to Suriname’s president Chan Santokhi to greet him on the Independence Day, according to Egyptian state’s news agency MENA.

Suriname, the smallest sovereign state in South America, is home to around half a million citizens.

Suriname gained Independence from the Kingdom of the Netherlands on 25 November 1975 after negotiations with the Dutch government.
