CAIRO - 24 November 2022: Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Mohamed Shaker, revealed that the ministry is keen to provide support to investors in various fields and remove all obstacles facing them, especially in the field of the tourism sector.
He further revealed that this sector receives great attention from the political leadership, adding: "we are always keen to secure electrical supply in various fields across the republic at the highest level of quality."
Shaker explained, in statements to Egypt Today, that the national electricity network is capable of providing 50,000 megawatts per day, explaining that the maximum load on the network during the summer months did not exceed 34,000 megawatts.
He added that during the winter, the maximum load does not exceed 27,000 megawatts, which helps make the daily reserve in the network, during the winter season, exceed 20,000 megawatts.
Shaker said that Egypt is able to meet the needs of citizens, pointing out that the ministry is keen to support the tourism sector to receive tourists from Europe to spend the winter months and enjoy the sunshine, in addition to benefiting from the provision of electric energy in Egypt.
