Egypt, Greece FMs praise profound relations, sign maritime agreement

CAIRO – 22 November 2022:  Egypt and Greece have signed, Tuesday a maritime search and rescue agreement, according to Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.

The signing came during Greek’s Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias visit to Egypt, in a step that reflects the two side’s desire to enhance political, economic and security coordination.

The two misters also held talks to discuss regional situation, developments of Ukrainian- Russian war, and the food and energy security.

Another agreement was signed between the two sides according to Shoukry, that aims to providing job opportunities for Egyptians in Greece in several sectors, most notably in the field of agriculture

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias lauded profound relations between Egypt and Greece in various fields.

This came during a press conference held by the two ministers following their talks in Cairo on Tuesday.

 Shoukry also hailed in his statements the ties between Cairo and Athens, and described it as “strong and strategic”.
