CAIRO - 6 November 2022: Head of UN Office on Drugs and Crime Ghada Waly asserted that Egypt's hosting of COP 27 held in Sharm el Sheikh reflects the trust of the world that Egypt is capable of organizing the event.

Waly said that COP 27 tackles one of the most important issues in the world including climate change, losing biological diversity and pollution.

The conference is held with the participation of 50,000 people, 150 states and leaders from 120 countries, Waly said.

COP 27 is building up on the outcome of COP 26 held in Glasgow hosted in the UK in 2021, she added.
