CAIRO - 18 October 2022: A recent study sheds light on the Egyptian-Indian relations in the light of the visit of the Indian Foreign Minister to Egypt, highlighting the fact that Egypt has roots linked to identity and necessitates an orientation towards the east in Asia.

The study indicated that Egypt is the only country whose geography extends between the continents of Africa and Asia, which created a kind of tireless pursuit for Cairo to diversify its relations and enhance its cooperation with Asian countries for them being successful economic models that have been able to impose themselves on the international arena by increasing their own productivity.

In this context, a meeting was held Saturday in Cairo, at the level of the foreign ministers of Egypt and India as part of the first visit of its kind by Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to Egypt.

The two countries build their foreign policies in accordance with the commitment to the principle of impartiality.

Cairo views New Delhi as the capital of one of the most historically ancient nations in the world, with its continued great contributions to its regional and international scenes.

This comes at the time when India aims to bring its relations with Egypt to the level of strategic partnership, given that Cairo represents a pillar of stability in the Middle East and a gateway to transit India to deepen its relations with the African continent, which is what pushes the two countries to diversify relations at various levels and bring them to a level of strategic partnership that guarantees the interests of both countries.
