CAIRO – 9 October 2022: Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Libya Caroline Hurndall said that she had met with the Libyan Prime Minister designated by the House of Representatives (HoR) Fathi Bashagha and his Foreign Minister-appointee Hafed Gaddour.

In a tweet, she added that she was pleased to meet Bashagha and Gaddour to discuss how the UK can help support Libya get back on to a path towards free, fair and inclusive elections.

Hurndall said last August in a meeting with the Head of Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi that working on a constitutional basis for elections was very important.
