CAIRO - 20 September 2022: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has participated in the inaugural session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a tweet Tuesday that Shoukry held on Monday a number of meetings on the sidelines of session with his counterparts in a number of countries including the foreign ministers of France, Cyprus, the Untired States, Norway and The Netherlands.

The spokesman added that the foreign minister is expected to take part in the ministerial meeting of the Munich formula to discuss means to push forward the Middle East peace process and will also attend the Asian Interact Conference and a meeting on food security under The Netherlands.

The foreign minister will also attend meetings on regional issues including a meeting on extending assistance to the Palestinians and will also participate in meetings of promoting dialogue mechanisms like the G-77 meeting.
