All 24 electricity services activated electronically, can be accessed via unified platform: Ministry

CAIRO – 1 September 2022: Egyptian citizens can now access all electricity-related services electronically through the unified platform after all 24 services been activated, without the need to head to the ministry’s headquarters.

The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, represented by the Electricity Holding Company, succeeded in activating all its services electronically through the unified platform for electronic electricity services.

Dr. Ayman Hamza, spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, confirmed that all the services provided by the ministry to the citizens have become available electronically on the unified platform for electronic electricity services, emphasizing that the subscriber can obtain the service with a click on his mobile phone.

Hamza explained that the citizen can obtain the service he needs at any time and from anywhere from a list of 25 services activated on the unified platform for electricity services.

The services include: paying bills - requesting a legal meter - requesting a certificate Consumption statement - Entering the meter reading – Calculating the bill - Installing a replacement meter - Checking a meter - Connecting the electric current to investment facilities and small and medium enterprises - Service breakdowns and complaints among other services.

Hamza said that the integration with the Digital Egypt platform is being completed to provide the best practices in achieving sustainability and meeting the needs of citizens at any time and anywhere.

Hamza explained that the integrated technological system for electricity services was launched in 2020, adopting technological means capable of achieving interdependence and integration between all elements of the sector to meet the demands of citizens.

Hamza pointed out that the unified platform for electronic electricity services was launched with one service at the beginning, and that now all 24 services of the platform have been activated so that the citizen can obtain all services.
