CAIRO - 15 July 2017: Prosecutor General Nabil Sadeq has ordered an investigation into two terrorist attacks that targeted a tourist resort in the Red Sea city of Hurghada and a police checkpoint in Badrashin district of Giza on Friday.

Prosecutors will interrogate one of the perpetrators of the Hurghada attack who was arrested with a white weapon in his possession.

The perpetrator had sneaked into a hotel in Hurghada with a knife in hand and killed two German tourists.

The prosecution already started a probe into the attack on the police checkpoint in the Giza district of Badrashin, which left five policemen dead.

Three gunmen riding a motorcycle had opened fire at a police patrol in Badrashin, killing five of the troops.
