Egypt’s Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki met, on Sunday, with Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Burkina Faso General Barthelemy Simpore- حقثسس حاخفخ

CAIRO – 7 August 2022: Egypt’s Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki met, on Sunday, with Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Burkina Faso General Barthelemy Simpore and his accompanying delegation, who are paying a three-day visit to Cairo.

 

 

An official reception ceremony was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense.

 

 

The meeting tackled a number of issues of mutual interest in military cooperation and the transfer and exchange of experiences between the armed forces of both sides.

 

 

Zaki expressed Egypt's pride in its strategic relations with the Republic of Burkina Faso, stressing the Armed Forces' keenness to increase cooperation and partnership in various military fields.

 

 

Burkinabe Minister praised Egypt's influential and effective role in all issues raised within the African continent, expressing his country’s aspiration for more military and security cooperation with Egypt.

 

 

A protocol of cooperation in the field of defense was also signed between the two sides.
