CAIRO – 3 August 2022: Chairman of Palestinian National Council Rawhi Fattouh lauded the speech delivered by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at Jeddah summit for security and development in which he asserted that Egypt prioritizes comprehensive and just settlement to the Palestinian cause.
Fattouh made the remarks during his reception of Egyptian Ambassador to Egypt Tarek Tayel on Wednesday.
In a statement on its Facebook, the Foreign Ministry said that Fattouh lauded Egypt’s role in supporting the Palestinians.
He also lauded brotherly relations binding Egypt and Palestine, asserting keenness to boost these relations to serve bilateral ties and Arab issues.
Meanwhile, Tayel asserted the priority attached by the Egyptian leadership to the Palestinian cause and to the two-state solution based on international legitimacy resolutions.
He also reviewed Egyptian efforts in a number of main files, including efforts exerted to revive peace process and defuse tension in Palestinian territories
