Corona infection rates in Egypt increased by 6.9% in last epidemiological week: Health Ministry

CAIRO - 4 July 2022: Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, a spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Health, said that the ministry monitored an increase in the rates of corona infection by 6.9 percent in the last epidemiological week, with rates of death and hospitalizations remained stable.

 
He called on citizens to vaccinate quickly and obtain booster doses, while continuing to apply precautionary measures against the epidemic.
 
 
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations in all governorates of the republic, follow up on the situation first-hand regarding the “emerging corona virus”, and take all necessary preventive measures against any viruses or infectious diseases. 
 
 
The ministry has also allocated means of communication to receive citizens’ inquiries about the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases, including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the “Health Egypt” application available on phones.
