President Sisi extends condolences to Jordanians over victims of Aqaba port accident

CAIRO – 28 June 2022: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has extended his heartfelt condolences to King Abdullah II of Jordan and all the Jordanian people over the victims of a tragic accident caused by a gas leak in the port of Aqaba yesterday.

During a phone call with the Jordanian monarch on Tuesday, Sisi, who is currently on a visit to Manama, Bahrain, also offered his deepest sympathies to the victims' families, wishing the wounded speedy recovery, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said.

Thanking President Sisi for his brotherly gesture, King Abdullah commended the strong historical ties between the two sisterly Arab nations.
