Egypt's Ranger Forces receive delegation of 2nd, 3rd generations of Egyptian expats

CAIRO – 22 June 2022: The Ranger Forces, a sub-branch of the Egyptian Armed Forces, received Wednesday a delegation of the second and third generations of Egyptian expats within a visit organized by the Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs.

The press statement affirmed the Egyptian Armed Forces' keenness on acquainting non-resident Egyptian youth of its combat capabilities.

The visit began by standing silent for a minute as a tribute to the souls of the martyrs, after the delegation, accompanied by Minister Nabila Makram, had been received by Commander of the Ranger Forces Ahmed Rashad Donia.

The commander delivered the greetings of Minister of Defense Mohamed Zaki, and Chief of Staff Osama Askar. He also expressed pride in having such promising young individuals to represent Egypt abroad.

A documentary was streamed to explain how the Ranger Forces were founded, and how it plays a role in defending the country. The delegation was also allowed in the training fields of the Ranger Forces elements, where a shooting show was thrown. In the end, the youths visited an exhibition of the arms used by Ranger Forces.

 

Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs Nabila Makram hailed on Saturday efforts exerted by Egyptian scientists and experts in various countries worldwide to push forward environmental and sustainable development issues.


Congratulating an Egyptian scientist on his new invention, Makram said Egyptians' contributions highlight the importance of exerting efforts and exchanging expertise between scientists and experts worldwide to guarantee progress in all fields.
 

Mina Hanin, an Egyptian expert in Australia, has led a research team from the Australian National University and managed to develop a system for predicting forest fires and extinguishing them in a record time.
 

Egypt has scholars in all fields, the minister said.
 

Mina Henein is a researcher and lecturer at the School of Cybernetics at the Australian National University. His research is concerned with the social, societal, ethical, legal and environmental implications of emergent technology with a focus on autonomous systems.
