CAIRO – 20 June 2022: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, at the Cairo International Airport.

During the two-day visit, both leaders will hold bilateral talks that address the overall bilateral relations and a number of regional and international political issues of mutual concern, said Egyptian Presidential Bassam Rady in a statement on Monday evening.

Bin Salman’s visit to Egypt is the first stop of his regional tour that includes Jordan and Turkey as well, as it has been announced by the Saudi Royal Diwan on Monday.

It is expected that Saudi Crown Prince will discuss in Cairo and Amman the preparations for the Gulf Cooperation Council Summit +4 (Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, and the US) due to be held in Riyadh with US President Joe Biden’s participation, DPA reported several days ago.

Bin Salman’s tour comes two weeks before US President Joe Biden’s visit to the Saudi kingdom, scheduled on July 15 and 16, following another visit by Biden to Israel on July 14, and 15.
