CAIRO - 18 June 2022: Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs Nabila Makram on Saturday hailed efforts exerted by Egyptian scientists and experts in various countries worldwide to push forward environmental and sustainable development issues.


Congratulating an Egyptian scientist on his new invention, Makram said Egyptians' contributions highlight the importance of exerting efforts and exchanging expertize between scientists and experts worldwide to guarantee progress in all fields.

Mina Hanin, an Egyptian expert in Australia, has led a research team from the Australian National University and managed to develop a system for predicting forest fires and extinguishing them in a record time.

Egypt has scholars in all fields, the minister said.

Mina Henein is a researcher and lecturer at the School of Cybernetics at the Australian National University. His research is concerned with the social, societal, ethical, legal and environmental implications of emergent technology with a focus on autonomous systems.
