CAIRO – 31 May 2022: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, President-designate of the 27th session of the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, headed this evening, Monday for Sweden to participate in the 6th Ministerial Meetings on Climate Action in Stockholm, said Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Hafez in a statement.
 
The Ministerial Meetings are being held with the participation of the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission on issues related to climate change. 
 
During the meeting, Shoukry will review Egypt's vision of various aspects of international climate action and what should be focused on, Hafez said.
 
Hafez added that the visit will also include a meeting with Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh to discuss ways to develop bilateral relations and cooperation between Egypt and Sweden in a number of fields, most notably development, investment, trade, tourism and green transformation.
