CAIRO - 28 May 2022: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Saturday, May 28, 2022, a phone call from his US counterpart Antony Blinken, where they discussed the overall frameworks of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and a number of international and regional issues of common interest.

 

Minister Shoukry stressed, during the call, the necessity of continuing consultation and coordination between the two countries regarding the various bilateral relations files and issues of concern, and seeking to continue strengthening them in light of the strategic relations that bind the two countries, said Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, in a statement

 

Both ministers discussed the most prominent developments in the international and regional arenas, as well as the repercussions of the ongoing international crises and their impact on the economic and living conditions around the world, and the need for joint action to contain their consequences.

 

Hafez added that both ministers agreed to continue coordination and consultation during the next stage on all issues of interest to Egypt and the United States.
