CAIRO – 12 May 2022: Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederikson received in Copenhagen Thursday Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry, who expressed Egypt's eagerness for pushing forward bilateral relations on the political, economic, cultural, and parliamentary levels.  

 

The minister underscored Egypt's keenness on bolstering Danish investments, and participation in its developmental plans. The sectors of interest are precisely renewable energy, green economy, healthcare, pharmaceutical manufacturing, logistics, maritime transport, and fish resources development.

Minister Shokry added that Egypt aspires to boost its exports to Denmark, and underlined that existing Danish investments in Egypt are examples of the high return-on-investment (ROI) Egypt offers.

 

The minister equally displayed Egypt's preparations to host COP 27 in Sharm El Sheikh on November 7-18. In that framework, Shokry welcomed cooperation with Denmark among other international partners for the conference to be fruitful.

 

The minister of foreign affairs finally delivered President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi's invitation to the Danish prime minister to attend the summit that will be held within COP 27.
