"This crime, committed against the press and the journalists, strongly shows to the world Israel's terrorism and crimes even against a journalist who has not carried a weapon and did nothing but was a Palestinian journalist," the statement said.

Al Azhar mourned the deceased and described her as the "loud voice of truth," extending its sincere condolences to the Palestinian people, her family and colleagues.

It urged the international community and organizations concerned to assume their role in investigating this crime and bring the criminal to justice.

It also called for stopping the Israeli terrorism and attempts to hide facts via killing and targeting journalists and media persons.
