Iraq offers condolences to Egypt for victims of Aswan accident

CAIRO – 15 April 2022: The Iraqi government, chaired by Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, expressed its sincere condolences to the Egyptian people for the victims of the Aswan tragic accident.
 
 
 
The Iraqi government also expressed solidarity with the families of the victims, wishing them patience, solace and Allah’s generous mercy. Iraq also wished Egypt continued stability and safety.
 
 
A truck and a tourist bus crashed on Wednesday, causing the death of five Egyptians and five foreigners (four French tourists, a Belgian national), according to officials. The crash also wounded 14 people, including tourists from France and Belgium.
 
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi extended his condolences to the families of the victims of an accident involving French and Belgian tourists on a highway in Aswan, southern Egypt Wednesday, saying Egypt will give the victims and their families all kinds of support.
