CAIRO - 31 March 2022: Dr. Mostafa El-Sayyad, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Animal Production, revealed that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the establishment of the largest horse breeding station in the world in the New Administrative Capital, noting that the coming days will witness a visit to the station after its establishment on a global level.
 
Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayyad's statements came during his attendance at the House of Representatives's Agriculture Committee to review a bill re-organizing the Zahraa station for breeding purebred Arabian horses submitted by the government, and the Agriculture Committee approved it.
 
The first article of the draft law states: Al-Zahraa station for breeding purebred Arabian horses is a public economic authority with a legal personality. Its headquarters is located in Cairo Governorate and is affiliated with the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.
 
While the second article states: The station directly assumes the competencies of the Egyptian Agricultural Authority established by Law No. 367 of 1956 with regard to breeding purebred horses and improving their production, and the assets of the Egyptian Agricultural Authority, as well as its rights, funds, and obligations related to the competencies it exercises.
 
The third article states: The station aims to preserve the purity of the blood of purebred Arabian horses, and it has the right to take all necessary actions to achieve the purposes for which it was established, and performs its functions in the manner prescribed by this law.
 
While the fourth article of the draft law included: The employees of the Central Administration for the Arabian Horse Breeding of the Egyptian Agricultural Authority who are in service on the date this law came into force shall be transferred to the station. implementation of this law.
 
As for the fifth article, it states: The station shall have a board of trustees headed by the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, with the membership of a number of members not exceeding 8, and among them there shall be a representative of the Ministry of Defense and a representative of the Ministry of Interior, provided that a number of experts and specialists in this field shall be included as well.
