CAIRO – 29 March 2022: As the government is implementing digital transformation in its institutions, it carried out Tuesday a cyber maneuver to measure readiness to foil cyber attacks.

The maneuver took place on March 28-29 with the participation of the ministers of civil aviation, irrigation, health, petroleum, electricity, foreign affairs, finance, trade, social solidarity, agriculture, tourism, and housing. That is in addition to the Cabinet, the National Authority for Media, and the Nuclear Power Plants Authority.

The maneuver included attempts of website defacement, distributed denial of service (DDoS), ransomware, and phishing. Also, workshops on how to repel such attacks were held by the Cabinet's Risk Management Sector.
