Egypt's acting health minister: COVID-19 deaths down 44% last week

CAIRO - 29 March 2022: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and acting health minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said Tuesday the number of COVID-19 deaths in Egypt declined 44 percent last week.


During a meeting with health ministry officials to discuss efforts of confronting the pandemic, the minister said the state is keen on the health of citizens, calling for abiding by precautionary measures.

He said the number of isolation hospitals admissions declined by 50 percent last week a matter that refers to the decrease in the number of patients.
