Ukraine-fled Egyptian students to take placement tests starting March 28

CAIRO – 27 March 2022: The Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs announced Sunday that the placement tests offered to students who fled Ukraine will be held starting Monday until Wednesday to continue their education at private universities.

 

Those studied at the schools of medicine, dentistry, pharmacology, and engineering, and they submitted their applications on March 14-24. The number of applicants is 1,270, and they will be doing the tests at Cairo University, and Ain Shams University.  

 

Minister Nabila Makram had stated on March 11 that 80 percent of Egyptian students in Ukraine were evacuated to neighboring countries, including many who returned to Egypt. A small percentage of students, however, chose to continue their study in Ukraine, the minister added.
