Egypt's FM delivers message from President Sisi to Pakistani PM

CAIRO – 22 March 2022: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry delivered Tuesday a message from President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, expressing aspiration to expand the momentum of bilateral relations.

 

The minister had delivered messages from the president to the chiefs of state of Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore as he is holding an Asian tour that started on March 14.

 

On Monday, the minister met Pakistani Chief of Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa to discuss issues of joint interest, and Pakistani Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul Wazir as Egypt is hosting COP 27 in November.

 

Minister Shokry is also participating in the 48th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) held in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, and that kicked off earlier on Tuesday, and will conclude Wednesday.
