Egypt, Jordan, Iraq’s FMs hold tripartite meeting to discuss international, regional issues - Egyptian Foreign Ministry

CAIRO – 9 March 2022: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Wednesday with his Jordanian and Iraqi counterparts Ayman Safadi and Fouad Hussein, respectively, on the sidelines of the 157th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level.
 
The tripartite meeting dealt with the latest developments on the international scene, especially the developments of the Ukrainian crisis and its various repercussions, said Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafen in a statement.
 
They also discussed the most prominent challenges on the regional arena, within the framework of concerted efforts towards promoting peaceful solutions to the region's issues.
 
Hafez added that the ministers also discussed ways to strengthen the tripartite mechanism, especially in the areas of trade and economic cooperation of common interest in accordance with a specific timetable.
