CAIRO – 12 July 2017: An American delegation from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) started its regular inspection regulations in Cairo International Airport, Wednesday morning.

The delegation includes two aviation experts according to sources that told Egypt Today. The delegation is scheduled to follow up latest developments in the airport regarding passengers and parcels security.

The regular inspection is scheduled for two successive days, as a meeting is expected to take place with Aviation Ministry leaders by the end of the delegation’s tour.

Earlier in April, a similar delegation TSA delegation checked Cairo Airport security regulations and the new instructions announced then by the U.S. government regarding carrying electronic devices onboard. No comments were made to the Egyptian officials regarding the security regulations then, according to ONA.

On Tuesday, EgyptAir issued a statement saying that the U.S. ban on carrying electronic devices onboard planes was lifted. The ban now is mainly on EgyptAir flights to London.

EgyptAir had given March 24 to apply the regulations to passengers traveling to the U.S. and the UK.
