CAIRO - 5 March 2022: The Egyptian Railways Authority (ERA) announced Saturday that the third class air-conditioned trains will officially enter service on Tuesday.

The first-of-its-kind service will cover capitals of governorates only, in addition to Edfu and Kom Ombo stations, the authority said in a statement.

It added this new and quick service will start on the Cairo-Aswan line on Tuesday.

Other lines will also be included in the newly-introduced service, according to it.

The authority noted that the price of the Cairo-Aswan ticket will be LE150, added the statement.
