Egypt’s Minister of Military Production heads for Riyadh to visit Saudi's first-ever world defense show

CAIRO – 5 March 2022: Egyptian Minister of Military Production Engineer Mohamed Ahmed Morsi, headed on Saturday for Saudi Arabia to attend the first edition of the World Defense Show due to be held from 6 to 9 March under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
 
Morsi will meet with a number of world military leaders and heads of companies participating in the exhibition, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Defense on Saturday.
 
The Minister will attend several seminars organized by the exhibition on the development of defense systems and industries, besides visiting pavilions of some of the countries participating in the exhibition.
 
The Egyptian pavilion will exhibit a number of the ministry’s products such as 120mm mortar bombs, mines, different types of projectiles, grenades, rubber and hunting birdshot, armored vehicles dubbed as “Sinai 200,” etc.
 
The Show would open on Sunday with the participation of more than 450 companies from around 37 countries to display their “latest defense and security industry technologies across land, sea, air, space and information security, in an ideal environment for communication, innovation and stimulating partnerships,” said the Saudi news agency SPA on February 7, 2022.
