CAIRO - 12 February 2022: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Saturday started an inspection tour to follow up on works and constructions in the New Administrative Capital (NAC).

With an area of 170,000 feddans, the NAC includes six residential districts.

The central business district is among the most important ongoing projects that includes 19 hotel, residential and administrative towers, in addition to the Iconic Tower.

The district includes schools, restaurants and a hospital. The capital also has the governmental district that encompasses the Cabinet's building and 34 buildings as well different ministries.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Housing Minister Essam el Gazzar to follow up the progress of some under-construction housing projects across the country.

Gazzar briefed the President on the latest developments of the fourth-generation cities project, especially the New Administrative Capital, in light of ongoing construction of the business and government districts and central towers as well as residential neighborhoods.

The President also followed up the implementation of housing units of governmental staffers in preparation for moving them to the new capital.

The government is building 30,000 units for the staffers who will be relocated to the new capital.

Also, the President was posted on the latest developments of housing and services projects in New Alamein city, New Mansoura city and Ras el Bar city.

The housing minister also briefed Sisi on the progress rate of the current project to develop Khedival Cairo. The project includes improving the pedestrian circulation network by-widening selected sidewalks and preserving and restoring the facades of historical structures that have suffered from deterioration.

The President urged accelerating the development of Maspero Triangle in downtown Cairo so that residents, who were relocated till development works are over, can return to their rebuilt houses as soon as possible.
