CAIRO – 8 February 2022: The Hospitality Establishments Chamber announced Tuesday that the number of workers who would be trained by June has been raised from 25,000 to 40,000 composing 30 percent of formal laborers in the sector.

The training is a two-day intensive course that covers hygiene standards, and appropriate ways of dealing with guests and customers. That is why the chamber currently gives priority to those who work in the food and beverage departments.

The workers who have been trained so far mainly belong to Sharm El Sheikh, and Hurghada resorts, which offer all-inclusive stays, which require an optimum quality service.

The chamber pointed out that it would later target workers in other tourist destinations such as Greater Cairo, Ain Sokhna, Luxor, Aswan, Alexandria, Alamein, North Coast, Matrouh, Marsa Alam, and Taba.
