CAIRO – 6 February 2022: Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy told press Sunday that the preparations for moving to the New Administrative Capital included digitizing 3.8 million documents in collaboration with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology.

In a similar context, the Ministry of Finance aims to complete the development and digitization of the customs system in Egypt by the end of next June, according to a statement by the ministry.

Finance Minister Mohamed Maait stated in January that the Ministry of Finance has made great strides in modernizing and mechanizing the customs system by modernizing the legislative structure by issuing the new customs law and its executive regulations, and implementing the “single window” system.

Equally, Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi launched in June "The Egyptian Initiative for Training on Industrial Digitalization" in collaboration with GE Digital.
