Egypt to see unstable weather through the weekend

CAIRO – 31 January 2022: Egypt expected to face a state of unstable weather conditions, accompanied by rains of varying intensity in the north of the country, starting from Thursday, February 3 to Friday, February 4, according to The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

Both of February 3 and 4, will witness moderate rains on areas of the northern coasts and Lower Egypt at intermittent periods. Wind activity in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, South Sinai and the south of the country at intermittent intervals.

Earlier in January, EMA revealed that a cold weather will prevail throughout the week starting from Saturday until Thursday.

EMA expected Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts and northern Upper Egypt to record low during the day, while a moderate weather will be seen in southern Upper Egypt, tending to warm on southern Sinai, but a very cold weather to prevail at night.

Frost forms in the late hours of the night and early morning in areas from the north of the country to northern Upper Egypt and Sinai. Snow also forms on the heights of Saint Catherine.

There will be wind activity in some areas that increases the sense of low temperature.
