CAIRO - 22 January 2022: UN High Level Climate Action Champion Nigel Topping said Friday that he reiterated to government, private sector, and NGOs officials in Cairo the importance of green investments to mitigate consequences of climate changes.

Concluding his second visit to Cairo, Topping underscored the possibility of making a green revolution, that could spur more sustainable economy, stressing the need for having the private sector and policy makers join efforts to achieve such goal.

This is my second visit to Egypt, and I am happy to return again to see how 2022 could be useful for boosting the green partnership between Egypt and the UK ahead of holding COP27 in Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh City, Topping said.
