CAIRO - 12 January 2022: Egypt is keen on supporting the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in its drive toward unity and security, affirmed Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli.

During his meeting Wednesday with Congolese Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development Eve Bazaiba Masudi, Mabdouli added that Egypt stands fully ready to provide all kind of support to the DRC.

He, meanwhile, said that proposed cooperation domains will be discussed with the ministers concerned.

Masudi, along with her accompanying delegation, is currently in Sharm el Sheikh in order to attend the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum (WYF), which is being held under the auspices of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Masudi, for her part, voiced happiness for attending the WYF, adding that she held meetings with a host of the Egyptian officials to discuss ways of boosting cooperation in the fields of electricity, environment and irrigation.

The Congolese official also held meetings with a host of Egyptian media outlets, during which she invited Egyptian investors to visit the DRC to explore promising investment opportunities there.
