CAIRO-  2 January 2022- During his meeting with the outgoing Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt, Mohammad Saleh Al-Thuwaikh on Sunday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi confirmed Egypt’s full support for Kuwait’s security and stability in the face of regional challenges, within the unwavering pillars of Egypt’s foreign policy to safeguard the security of the Gulf. 
 
Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady said in a statement that  President Sisi expressed appreciation for Al-Thuwaikh’s diligent efforts to further support and enhance bilateral relations. 
 
The President asked for his greetings to be conveyed to the Emir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Rady said.
 
“The President confirmed his appreciation for the wise role played by the Emir of Kuwait in leading his country and people towards progress and prosperity and his keenness to develop cooperation and enhance relations with Egypt, in addition to his kind care of the Egyptian community in Kuwait,” Rady continued.
 
The Kuwaiti ambassador expressed his deep appreciation and honor to meet with President El-Sisi, confirming that he holds in high regard the time he served in Cairo and the advanced level of cooperation reached between the two countries. 
 
Ambassador Al- Thuwaikh thanked the Egyptian officials for their cooperation and support and the Egyptian people for their warm reception and hospitality, Rady said.
 
“He [Thuwaikh] confirmed the keenness of both the leadership and government of Kuwait to enhance joint cooperation in a way that fulfills the ambitions and aspirations of both peoples and countries and achieves mutual interests of progress, prosperity and development. This shall also reinforce joint Arab solidarity in the face of various issues and challenges, especially in light of Egypt’s key role in support of the entire Arab nation, particularly under President El-Sisi’s leadership that is considered an example to be followed in terms of his vision for development,” Rady continued.
 
“The meeting reviewed overall regional developments of mutual interest, in addition to key issues pertinent to bilateral ties, mainly economic relations and trade. This is in addition to enhancing cooperation in the fields of education, in light of the modern specializations that have been added to the series of new universities built in Egypt,” Rady said, adding “The meeting also touched on increasing Kuwaiti investment in Egypt across various fields, in light of the diverse investment opportunities, especially in the field of agriculture through the grand national projects for land reclamation across the country.”
