CAIRO – 29 December 2021: Port Said is considered the first Egyptian governorate to implement the new comprehensive health insurance system.

 

The systems aims to provide distinguished medical and treatment services to beneficiaries.

 

et highlights, in the below lines, updates of the comprehensive health insurance system in Port Said:

 

1-   The total cost of implementing the system in the governorate is L.E. 7.605 billion.

 

2-   The number of citizens who have registered in the system is more than 659 thousand.

 

3-    The percentage of registered citizens of the total population of the governorate is 82 percent.

 

4-   9 hospitals included in the system were operated in the governorate.

 

5-   35 units and family health centers included in the system in Port Said.
