CAIRO – 12 December 2021: Egypt expressed condolences to the U.S. on Sunday after tornadoes hit central and southern states, which resulted in dozens of casualties.

“We express our sincere condolences and sympathies to our friends in the United States of America as a hurricane struck a number of states, resulting in the death and injury of dozens,” wrote the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Facebook.

“We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We affirm our solidarity with the U.S. in these difficult circumstances,” he said.

Tornadoes hit the U.S. on Friday and Saturday, destroying buildings, and possibly claiming the lives of more than 80 people, according to the CNN.
