Egypt offers condolences to Turkey for victims of fierce storms

CAIRO- 2 December 2021: With sadness and sorrow, Egypt has followed up on the news about the human casualties that were caused by fierce windy storms in Marmara Region of Turkey, said the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Thursday.

 

Three days ago deadly storms hit the region, claiming the lives of five peopled injuring dozens.

 

“Egypt extends its sincere condolences to Turkey following this painful affliction, and expresses wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured,” the statement read.



 

Turkish news agency Anadolu reported on Thursday that at least five people were killed and 63 others were injured in these fierce storms.
