WB: Egypt’s health insurance 1st system meets world standards

CAIRO - 28 November 2021: The World Bank (WB) representative in Egypt and health expert Amr el Shalaqani said Saturday that the inclusive health insurance in Egypt is deemed the first one of its kind conforming to the world environmental standards and unique unmatched experiment in any other country.


El Shalaqani’s remarks came during a speech; he delivered in a video conference meeting as part of the second annual meeting of the General Authority for Health Care on the inclusive health insurance, under rubric “let’s together build Egypt’s health future.”

It is restructure and revamp to the health insurance system, and having a full support from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, he added.

He voiced WB proud to cooperate with Egypt in general, and in the health sector in particular.
