CAIRO - 13 November 2021: Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli announced on Saturday that President Sisi ordered to establish a new city of Suez, paying an inspection tour of the Suez governorate as part of his tours of a number of governorates to be updated on the development projects nationwide.
 
He visited the Suez Medical Complex and listened to a detailed explanation from Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Health, on health facilities in the governorate. The Prime Minister also inspected  the center of the national network for emergency and public safety in the governorate. The network links the emergency management and services in the governorates.
 
The construction rate of the Suez Medical Complex project has currently reached 64%,” said Khaled AbdelGhaffar.

The complex consists of 8 buildings, including the main building with a total area of 47,000 meter squares. The number of beds for patients reached 427 beds, distributed to several internal sections. It also includes 54 incubators and 62 clinics.
 
Health services will be provided through 34 facilities divided into units, centers and hospitals, said a statement issued by the Cabinet on Saturday.
 
“As part of this, 8 new units and centers are being established, besides the development of 21 existing centers. The facilities also include the development of 3 hospitals and the construction of 2 others,” the statement read.
 
At the beginning of his visit, the Prime Minister held a meeting with members of the House of Representatives in the governorate and executive officials to follow up on the demands of the residents.

During his visit, Madbouli also inspected a number of development and service projects, accompanied by a number of ministers.
 
In addition to this, the Prime Minister and his companions inspected the under-construction “Housing for All Egyptians” project as part of presidential housing initiative.
 
Prime Ministers assistant Engineer Randa El-Minshawy, who is responsible for following up on the project to develop the governorate, saying that a total of 25,000 housing units will be provided in the governorate. He also added that 3 sites were allocated for the first phase of the project. 
 
As for the project of sewage stations,  Madbouli inspected the old and new Zarb sewage stations. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, said that 210 sewage treatment plants are currently being implemented in the governorate, with a total capacity of 6 millions of cubic meters per day, serving nearly 40 million citizens.

The number of operating sewage treatment plants reaches 400, with an increase of 180 stations over the past seven years nationwide.
